:A three-year-old boy, travelling overnight on a train bound for Kacheguda, fell ill with breathing problems, triggering fear among his parents and anxiety among passengers. Passengers noticed the child crying most of the night and thought it was due to chest pain. By morning, his condition had worsened and he had almost stopped responding.
As the train reached Kamareddy, passengers stopped the chain and helped the family deboard the train with their luggage. RPF personnel shifted the boy to the government hospital within 10 minutes, said Kamareddy RPF sub inspector Malleshwar. “A woman constable and I were with them the whole time,” Malleshwar said.
“Finally, the boy was declared stable. When we asked the doctor, he said it was due to the AC in the train, some children are allergic to it. The boy was discharged and the family was later sent to Hyderabad,” the SI informed.
