A large portion of the NFL fanbase celebrated on Sunday afternoon as Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills handed Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs their first loss of the 2024 season. It came in thrilling fashion, as Allen put things away with a 26-yard touchdown run on 4th and 2 late in the final quarter to give the Bills a 30-21 victory at home, spoiling Kansas City's bid for a perfect season. Though fans are celebrating at the Chiefs' demise right now, though, this loss may not bode well for what is to come later in the season, according to recent history.

Kansas City fans would love for this foreshadowing to come true as they go for their third-straight Super Bowl win this postseason. This is the only time in the regular season that Buffalo and Kansas City will meet, but there is a good chance that they meet in the playoffs once again, potentially in the AFC Championship Game.

Both Mahomes and Allen said after the game that they wouldn't be surprised if that happened, and after the thriller that we saw on Sunday afternoon, I'm sure fans would be happy to see another rematch as well.
