THE chief officer of the CYPES department has told colleagues that he will be leaving his role in two weeks’ time. Rob Sainsbury, who took charge of Children, Young People, Education and Skills in October 2021 in an interim capacity and was appointed to the role permanently in December 2022, ended a period of uncertainty about his future yesterday, saying he would finish work on 31 October.
