
Chick-fil-A is set to open its second Northern Ireland restaurant. The chain will open its next outlet at Applegreen Templepatrick Services in Belfast on Thursday, March 27, at 10am. The new location follows the company’s successful opening at Applegreen Lisburn South Services earlier this year, marking its second location as part of its UK wide expansion.
Their first restaurant in Northern Ireland opened to huge queues with cars lining the motorway to get their hands on the long awaited chicken. The chain has entered into a new licensing partnership with Applegreen Northern Ireland. The new restaurants will create 70 new jobs, bringing Applegreen’s overall employment numbers in Northern Ireland to 351.
The restaurant will offer popular menu items including the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, signature Lemonade and nuggets that are hand-breaded throughout the day. With more than 3,000 restaurants across the U.S.
, Puerto Rico and Canada, the brand plans to open five restaurants across Belfast, Leeds, Liverpool, and London over the next two years as part of its UK-wide investment plans. Famous for the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, Chick-fil-A is known for creating a welcoming restaurant experience, starting with friendly service and quality food the restaurant is set to be open 10am-9pm Monday to Saturday. The opening of the new restaurants follows significant upgrades to the Applegreen service areas at Lisburn South and Templepatrick in recent months, which also saw the addition of new M&S Food stores at both locations.
Applegreen operates five locations in Northern Ireland. The two largest sites are just outside Lisburn, on the northern and southern sides of the M1 motorway, and it also has sites in Templepatrick, Ballymena , and Hillsborough.
