Chester man arrested in assault in Woodlyn

A Chester male was charged in a domestic attack in a Woodlyn residence. Anthony K. Presbery, 41, was charged with making terroristic threats, assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment.

Presbery was arraigned by District Judge James Merkins, who set bail at 10% of $200,000, which Presbery was unable to post and so taken to the Delaware County prison. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 3 before District Judge George B. Dawson.



The alleged assault occurred Saturday in the Woodlyn Housing Development. Ridley Township Police Capt. James Dougherty said officers received a third party call at 4:17 p.

m. for the domestic incident. Units arrived at the complex and located the home, which officers have responded to in the past for domestic incidents.

The adult victim had signs of physical abuse, with bruising and cuts around her face and upper body, and the male had swollen knuckles. The victim was transported for medical evaluation. Detectives conducted an investigation and processed the evidence, resulting in the charges.
