Chelsea need to get back to winning ways tonight as they face a Wolves side struggling with a relegation battle. The Blues have slumped down into sixth place after having looked like the best contenders for Liverpool in the title race. They've gone five Premier League games straight without a win and as many as two losses which has caught them out considerably.
They now sit 13 points off Liverpool and seven points off Arsenal and Nottingham Forest coming into tonight's game. A win would get them closer but still with a lot of work to do to try and salvage what was looking like an incredible season. If Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson can get back to scoring form then they should be able to put on a professional performance at Stamford Bridge.
Palmer is still a doubt to start tonight though and missed some training last week leaving Chelsea hoping he can get fit to be able to play this evening. Both Levi Colwill and Palmer picked up knocks in the Bournemouth game and Enzo Maresca has four unlikely starters with those two and Romeo Lavia and Enzo Fernandez also likely to miss being in the starting XI. However, that does give the likes of Noni Madueke who often shines in games like this licence to really go forward and create which he's been great at this season.
He and Palmer have a combined 22 chances created with each other, the highest in the league. Madueke hasn't been favoured much in the last five games with only 174 minutes but could get another start - with a return to the goals and assists a must.
