Chelsea have reportedly agreed a deal to steal Geovany Quenda from under the noses of Manchester United . The teenager is expected to join the Blues from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2026. Quenda was strongly linked with United in January and was anticipated to be among their top targets for the summer transfer window.

He made his breakthrough at Sporting under the now-Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim and has continued to excel beyond his departure. Many of Europe's biggest teams monitored the 17-year-old's performances in Portugal. Chelsea are claimed to have held 'secret' negotiations with Sporting and the Blues have now completed a deal.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Quenda will complete a switch to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2026. That means he will spend the 2025-26 campaign at Sporting before making the move to the Premier League.
