ROCHESTER – Award-winning Rochester Chef Youness Bojji is taking a swing at a new eatery — Eastwood Caddyshack Kitchen & Bar — at Rochester's Eastwood Golf Course . Bojji, who previously owned Casablanca Creative Cuisine & Wine and Chez Bojj in Rochester, has been cooking in his own shiny food trailer — Foodie Paradise — for the past year in the wake of the closure of 507 (Pub)lic House , where he last cooked. ADVERTISEMENT “I did Foodie Paradise to connect with bigger audiences and to learn how to make affordable food that is great in taste and quality.

I was lucky to meet a lot of nice people through my food truck,” he wrote. “I also wanted to take 365 days to get more experience with cooking something other than fine dining. If you can cook in a food truck during the winter, you can do anything.

” The plan is to open Eastwood Caddyshack at 3505 Eastwood Road SE at the start of May. He expects to remain open year-round. Townies Grill’d Philly Subs , which is based in the clubhouse of the Soldiers Field Golf Course, operated a satellite location in the Eastwood space last summer.

Bojji has worked out a menu that he believes will connect with golfers and other Southeast Rochester diners. He plans to offer 20 double smash burgers, at least 10 kinds of sandwiches, rice bowls and more, with everything priced in the $10 to $16 range. The chef also plans to offer cooking classes and a monthly gourmet club.

Bojji is competing in celebrity Chef Carla Hall’s annual Favorite Chef competition, which may film a segment at Eastwood. ADVERTISEMENT.
