
If you own an iPhone then you'll definitely want to check the settings menu today. Apple has just pushed out a major update that brings a swathe of changes to its popular smartphones. iOS 18.
4 was released overnight and you should find it's ready to download on your device right now. So what's included in this release and how do you get it? iOS 18.4 has plenty of changes, including eight new emojis, such as a new smiley face with bags under the eyes, fingerprint, splatter, harp and leafless tree.
Apple has added recipes to its News+ service and there are now easier ways to filter your photos with improved options for sorting and sharing albums. Another addition is a new "Sketch Style" when using Apple's Image Playground application - this recently released app lets you create images by simply typing in a description, and now there are more options to create the perfect look. If you have a more recent device - such as the iPhone 16, iPhone 16e or iPhone 16 Pro - then you should also see a boost to Apple Intelligence thanks to a feature called Priority Notifications.
This makes sure you never miss the most important messages from friends and family. As Apple explains, “important notifications that may require your immediate attention,” will now appear first. Another change will please anyone with a Vision Pro headset with Apple adding a dedicated iPhone app to the homescreen.
This offers useful tips and tricks and even lets you download apps onto the headset without putting it on. Finally, Apple says that iOS 18.4 also fixes some issue and bugs along with boosting the security.

4, simply head to Settings and tap General , Software Update . You should then see the option to Download and Install iOS 18.4.
It's quite a big file so it's best to do the update when connected to Wi-Fi. Your iPhone will also need to restart so make sure you aren't waiting for an important phone call before starting the installation process..
