If you’re looking at the household budget looking for areas to cut spending, it’s worth taking a look at your mobile phone plan. When was the last time you actually used all your mobile data? Are you paying for 50GB per month but only using 16GB? According to the ACCC that’s the average a postpaid plan customer uses per month while prepaid customers use on average even less, just 7.5GB per month.
It’s also worth noting that most telcos have some sort of introductory offer usually a discount that lasts between three to six months. If you truly want to maximise your savings its worth comparing your options every six to 12 months.
