Charlottesville police report finding ounces of cocaine, thousands of dollars in man's apartment

A man is in custody after Charlottesville police say a search warrant executed at his apartment netted ounces of cocaine and thousands of dollars in cash. Stovall Patrick Stovall, a 43-year-old city resident, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute. It was the 3A Regional Drug and Gang Task Force, a partner of the Charlottesville Police Department, that executed an arrest and search warrant on Sept.

12 at Stovall's apartment at Crescent Hall, a public housing development on the edge of the city's Ridge Street and Downtown neighborhoods. "A search of his residence resulted in the seizure of 10 ounces of cocaine and approximately $10,000 in US currency," Charlottesville police said in a statement. "As a result of this action, Patrick Stovall, a 43-year-old Charlottesville resident was taken into custody.
