Charles M. Rabinowitz OBITUARY Charles M. Rabinowitz, 99, a longtime resident of Bloomfield, died Sunday, April 13, 2025, with family by his side.

He was the beloved husband of the late Marilyn (Lazell) Rabinowitz. Born in Stamford, CT, he was the son of Jack and Anna (Karp) Rabinowitz. He was a WWII veteran of the U.



S. Air Corps. After being honorably discharged, Charles attended UCONN and received a B.

S. degree and continued at UCONN receiving an M.S.

degree in electrical engineering. He worked for many years as an electrical engineer for Hamilton Standard until retirement. He and Marilyn were members of the former Beth Hillel Synagogue for over 50 years.

Charles was active in the Beth Hillel Men’s Club and served on the synagogue Board. He was a past member of the Jewish War Veterans, with the former, Laurel Post #45. He had a passion for electronic home projects and enjoyed taking the family every summer to Cape Cod beaches.

He and Marilyn shared many trips together travelling to Europe and to Israel and in later years, visiting his son in Israel. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his son Alan Rabinowitz (Lisa), and daughters, Shelley Lipman (Stephen) and Anne Tibbetts (Todd).

He is also survived by seven cherished grandchildren: Inbal Moria (Lyron), Hanan Rabinowitz (Mor), Ilanit Rabinowitz, Aliza Lipman (R. Bror Okerblom), Shoshana Lipman, Skylar Tibbetts and Sam Tibbetts and four adored great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Florence Kennedy.

A funeral will be graveside, with full military honors, on Thursday, April 17, at 11:00am, with Rabbi Michael Pincus officiating at the Beth Hillel Memorial Park Cemetery, 80 Wolcott Road, in East Granby. The family expresses a heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful care provided to Charles at Ark Healthcare in Branford, Ct. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of donor’s choice.
