Charity chief executive to retire after 40 years' service

Mark Sharman has dedicated 40 years of service to the Bournemouth-based charity, which supports people throughout the country to live the lives they choose. Under his leadership, the charity has grown and achieved many milestones. Mr Sharman said: "It has been an incredible journey.

"I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve this organisation and work alongside so many inspiring individuals. "Together, we have accomplished remarkable things and I am confident that Help and Care will continue to thrive and make a difference in the years to come." The board of trustees has expressed its gratitude to Mr Sharman for his "outstanding leadership and commitment".



Adrian Dawson, chair of the board, said: "We are profoundly thankful for Mark's four decades of service. "Under his guidance, Help and Care has grown and flourished and he leaves behind a legacy of compassion and excellence." The board will now begin the search for a new chief executive.

Mr Sharman will work closely with the board and the senior leadership team to ensure a smooth transition period..
