Charge Point Operator Charge+ has announced that its two 120kW DC fast chargers have switched from time-based (per minute) pricing to kWh-based pricing. The move provides a fairer pricing structure as EV drivers will be charged for energy transferred rather than time spent at the charger. It is also good news for EVs with lower supported DC charging speeds as you’ll be paying the same cost per kWh regardless of the speed you’re getting.

These chargers can be activated using the Charge+ app which is available on the Apple AppStore and Google Play Store . The Charge+ Skudai R&R Southbound DC charger was switched on last year with a promo price of RM0.90 per minute, and now it is priced at RM1.

35 per kWh . The location has a 120kW DC Charger with two CCS2 nozzles, allowing a single vehicle to get up to 120kW or up to 60kW if two EVs are plugged in simultaneously. With the current RM1.

35 per kWh pricing, Charge+ is the most affordable DC charger at Skudai R&R Southbound. As a comparison, Gentari/JomCharge’s 50kW (FamilyMart and Caltex) and 120kW DC Chargers (BHP) at the location are priced at RM1.50 per kWh .

You can get up to 120kW if your EV is the only one plugged in or up to 60kW if two EVs are being charged at the same time. Until 31st December 2024, you can redeem a free cup of coffee (dine-in only) at The Den Level 40 by showing your charging session on the Charge+ app.

Depending on your EV’s state of charge, your DC fast charging session might be completed before you can finish your coffee.
