30pm. A Summernats traffic controller at the scene said the woman allegedly tried to go around traffic cones placed near the event's entry line. An ACT Policing spokeswoman said officers arrived at the scene and spoke to the 39-year-old driver who allegedly refused to provide her licence.

refused to obey the directions of Summernats traffic controllers on Northbourne Avenue, allegedly driving at a person," she said. One witness said she heard the woman screaming at officers. "[Police] said four or five times, 'Get out of the car', 'You're under arrest' .

"It was very chaotic," she said. Police arrest a woman for allegedly driving at a person on Northbourne Avenue.
Picture by Keegan Carroll Police said the woman has been charged with a number of offences in relation to the incident and is due to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court later this year. The arrest occurred a day after Detective Inspector Mark Steel said police would promptly respond to any illegal or anti-social behaviour in and around the festival's venues. At the same press conference on Thursday, Summernats co-owner Andy Lopez said the event had a zero tolerance policy for any kind of poor behaviour.
