Chanty, who started her career as a child actress in the Philippines, debuted as the vocalist and face of Lapillus in June 2022. The girl group also includes the members Shana, Yue, Bessie, Seowon, and Haeun. But there was no trace of her polished K-pop persona at a streaming platform’s K-Cafe event last Tuesday, April 15.
She wore an excited smile throughout as she watched BTS’ Jin during the press conference of his variety show “Kian’s Bizarre B&B,” and participated in other related activities. “As a K-pop fan — even before being a K-pop idol myself — I still feel like a fan. Minsan, hindi ko po narerealize.
Narerealize ko lang po siya when people talk about it, or when people tell me. I’m grateful po for the blessing,” she told reporters on the sidelines of the event, where she also expressed her excitement over seeing Jin. (As a K-pop fan — even before being a K-pop idol myself — I still feel like a fan.
I sometimes don’t realize it. I only realize that I’m indeed a K-pop idol when people talk about it or when people tell me. I’m grateful for the blessing.

She earlier denied rumors that the girl group had already disbanded. “I have a member na nandito rin to spend vacation with me, si Shana, and natuwa ako kasi na-surprise namin ang fans noong premiere night ng film ko na ‘Samahan ng mga Makasalanan.
’ Na-surprise namin sila noong lumabas si Shana sa red carpet,” she said. “Natutuwa kami kasi kahit matagal na since our last comeback, [fans] are still patiently waiting, they’re still very supportive sa mga solo activities namin. Grateful kami,” continued Chanty.
(I have a member who is here to spend vacation with me, Shana. I’m happy that we surprised fans during the premiere night of my film, “Samahan ng mga Makasalanan.” We surprised them when she appeared on the red carpet.
We’re happy that while it’s been a long time since our last comeback, our fans are still patiently waiting. They’re still very supportive of our solo activities. We’re grateful.

Nakakamiss siya kasi ang tagal kong nag-train for that and dahil hindi ko na siya nagagawa, nakakamiss ang feeling na nand’un ang mga co-artists and ibang groups.
Masaya siya, parang lang kaming mga estudyante mula sa iba’t ibang school,” she said. (Now that I’m not doing it, I crave it for some reason. I miss it.
I trained for a long time, and now that I’m not doing it, I miss the feeling of being in the same space with co-artists and other groups. It makes me happy. It’s like we’re students from different schools.
