The Aussie reporter, who had been covering a 'bizarre' court case involving a mother who confessed to stealing a dead person's toes to sell on the black market, was savaged online about her appearance. Feeling 'shocked' by the comments made, she opened up about the ordeal and how disappointed she was that the subject of conversation had deviated from the court case to her looks.
'The case I was covering that day was a particularly bizarre one and I was curious to see what people were saying about it online, so I decided to read the comments - which I never usually do,' she told the publication. Realising that most of the focus was on her appearance, particularly the way her eyes looked, Cassie was left reeling, especially because most of the comments were made by women. In the clip, which has been viewed by 57.3K people already, Cassie called out trolls for their behaviour online. 'I was covering a really awful story.
