Channel 4 hit with hundreds of Ofcom complaints after MAFS UK bullying row

Channel 4 has been swamped with Ofcom complaints as viewers accused two members of the cast of bullying.

Married at First Sight has faced a slew of Ofcom complaints as fans rushed to complain about an alleged bullying row. Channel 4 viewers raised 341 complaints related to alleged bullying behaviour broadcast on November 13. Fans were unhappy with brides Holly and Polly, claiming they displayed unnacceptable behaviour towards Hannah and Adam during the first reunion episode.

They also found issue with the experts failing to address this behaviour, and the use of offensive language during these interactions. A further 187 complaints were made after the second part of the reunion aired on November 14, which saw all the couples sit down with the experts, Paul Brunson, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas, for the final time. The complaints related to alleged bullying behaviour from Holly and Polly towards Hannah, and the experts failing to address this behaviour.



During the episode, the experts asked Hannah about the events of Ladies Night which featured a dramatic showdown between her and Holly Ditchfield. The gym owner responded: "I walked into the room on Ladies Night and got called a s**g and 'look what the cat dragged in' and I just wouldn't treat another woman like that."
