Slot has also warned his players that they will need to put in their best performance of the campaign, if they are to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League. The Reds pulled off a 1-0 win in the first leg of their last-16 tie at PSG, despite the Ligue 1 champions dominating most of the game.

After the victory in Paris, Slot admitted his team were “very lucky”. The Dutchman has now called on his players to up their game in the second leg. “I think [Liverpool will need to give the best performance of the season] because this is the most complete team we’ve faced so far,” Slot told a news conference on Monday.

“Of course, we’ve faced Arsenal and Manchester City. It’s not that there are big margins, but the intensity [PSG] played at combined with the quality they have — let’s be honest, we are talking about the richest club — so they have so much quality and a great manager because he brings the best out of every player.” Related Topics: Arne Slot Champions League liverpool Don't Miss NPFL: Katsina United must improve in attack – Coach Audu You may like Champions League: Luis Enrique explains how PSG would beat Liverpool at Anfield UCL: Liverpool, Barcelona, Madrid, others in epic clash over quarter-final spot UCL: We can knock out Liverpool – PSG forward Kvaratskhelia UCL: Gary Neville names one trophy Liverpool will not win this season EPL table: Arsenal now 15 points behind Liverpool after Man Utd draw EPL table: Liverpool go 16 points clear of Arsenal after Southampton win Advertise About Us Contact Us Privacy-Policy Terms Copyright © Daily Post Media Ltd.
