Chairman of Religious Affairs Council of Kyrgyzstan passes away

- The First Chairman of the Council for Religious Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ormonbek Alapayev died at 95. He was born on October 25, 1929 in the village of Chon-Alysh of Talas region. He was elected as member of the regional committee of the Kyrgyz Communist Party three times, and twice was elected as a member of the Regional Council.

Alapayev was repeatedly elected as a member of the district and city councils. 1975-1991 - Commissioner of the Council for Religious Affairs under the Council of Ministers of the USSR on the Kyrgyz SSR, member of the Council. 1991-1993 - Chairman of the Council for Religious Affairs under Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan.



Since 1992 - personal pensioner for special services to the country. He was a member of the Union of Journalists of USSR and Kyrgyz SSR. The funeral will be held on October 22 at 11:00 am in the city of Bishkek on Erkundik Boulevard, 31B.
