Chad Michael Murray shares ideas for 2004 'Cindrella' sequel 'A Cindrella Story' is romantic-comedy film directed by Mark Rosman Chad Michael Murray has just expressed his interest in revisiting his old character 'Austin Ames' from A Cinderella Story. During an interview, Murray was asked if there is going to be a sequel to his 2004 rom-com to which he replied giving the publication a random plot that he thinks could work for the next entry. The plot of the movie revolved around Austin, a high school enthusiast who wants to become a writer and falls in love with Samantha, played by Hilary Duff.
The Freaky Friday star told Elle, "But as [Hilary Duff’s character] Sam says at the end of the movie, she’s only in high school. What if it didn’t work out between her and Austin?” “Maybe they went their separate ways in college, she got married and had kids, and he went off to be a writer, which didn't work out.” While sharing his ideas for the new movie, Chad added: “Now he’s a high school English teacher, and he has to revisit this whole thing because her daughter is in his class.
” The 43-year-old stated that he could come up with ten more versions, while admitted that revisiting the film would be a total nostalgia for him amid the time when so many more romantics are coming out. A Cinderella Story is directed by Mark Rosman. It also stars Jennifer Coolidge, Regina King and Dan Byrd.
