The Littlehampton Child Contact Centre has passed its NACCC re-accreditation, securing another three years of service to help children maintain relationships with separated family members

A child contact centre has passed a re-accreditation audit. The Littlehampton Child Contact Centre has been given the green light to continue supporting children for another three years. The centre, run by a small group of volunteers, helps children maintain relationships with family members they do not live with.

This is particularly important when communication between parents is difficult. The National Association of Child Contact Centres (NACCC) has a strict accreditation process to ensure that centres like this operate safely and effectively. The assessment report praised the centre, describing it as "warm and friendly" with staff who greet families with "wide smiles and hellos.

" It also noted that the centre is "offering a valuable service in a deprived area" and is "fully booked." The report further stated that the centre is "very experienced" and "child-focused," with staff who are "friendly and show empathy whilst remaining very professional." Centre co-ordinator, Jackie Roberts, said: "I am delighted that NACCC have found our centre has met all the required standards and that families using the Child Contact Centres are safe and well cared for and that no further actions were recommended.

"I would like to thank all the lovely, caring and devoted volunteers that make our vital service possible." The Littlehampton Child Contact Centre provides a safe, friendly, and neutral place where the children of separated families can spend time with one or both parents, and even other family members.
