Celebrity MasterChef contestant Nikki Tamboli has been winning hearts with her cooking skills. She addressed the accusations of betraying Faisal Shaikh on the show after the latest episode was aired. For the uninitiated, Nikki requested Faisu to give her a key ingredient, prawns, for her brown rice.
Although he initially refused multiple times, Nikki convinced Faisal to give her a key ingredient. But, when Faisu requested to swap an ingredient, Nikki refused to do so. She left him disappointed.
Judges Farah Khan and Ranveer Brar also teased him as they said 'a lesson learned'. This incident left fans questioning Nikki's actions and also accused her of betrayal. Nikki took to Twitter (X) to defend her actions and took a strong stand on the entire situation.
She questioned the very definition of betrayal and also spoke about the importance of MasterChef which is not about having the best ingredients but about making the best dish with what’s available. She wrote, There’s a lot I have been reading about me betraying. Can someone explain to me the exact meaning of betrayal? #MasterChef is not about who makes the best food out of the best ingredients, it’s about who makes the best when you’ve got the least.
Shifting from dessert to savoury takes guts, which I proved to myself. Nobody offers me a trophy if m not winning it, isn’t that a betrayal too? Stop being a hypocrite. It’s better to get a life and earn and make yourself proud instead of wasting your time on social media, not even by showing your true face.
Dogs do bark from behind, but it takes guts to stand tall in front of them, just like a lioness does in the jungle. Celebrity MasterChef’s grand finale is scheduled to happen next week. Tejasswi Prakash, Gaurav Khanna, Rajiv Adatia, Nikki Tamboli, and Mr Faisu will be fighting hard for the trophy.
