Celebrity Big Brother sensation Trisha Goddard's daughter, Billie Dee, has boldly declared her mother could be the support Mickey Rourke needs amidst the actor's current controversy. The 67 year old television veteran, who bravely shared last year's news of her cancer's recurrencea battle she initially faced in 2008 graced the iconic house on Monday night. Despite previously rejecting the opportunity on numerous occasions, Trisha decided to join the lineup which includes Hollywood 's own Mickey Rourke.
Rourke, 72, instantly became a hot topic after setting foot inside the house and recently received a serious caution from Big Brother due to his 'offensive comments' directed at housemate JoJo Siwa. During her guest spot on This Morning with Dermot O'Leary and Sian Welby on Friday (April 11), Billie discussed her mother's potential role as Mickey's much-needed compatriot. When Sian highlighted Trisha's frankness on the first night in confronting Danny Beard's loud behaviour, saying: "I love that she was honest on the first night when Danny Beard was really loud and I like that she just went straight over and said 'by the way you did my head in last night, you're too loud.
'" Billie couldn't help but laugh as she recounted: "I've had this conversation with my mum several times, I almost cringed for Danny there. I said to her 'mum don't be so grumpy on your first morning' but she commands respect." Sian queried: "He appreciated the honesty but do you think Micky will appreciate the honesty?" to which Billie contended: "I think he will.
I think he might have an ally in mum so we will see how that goes. They are of a similar age and a similar generation." Dermot interjected: "She could be the link between him and the younger generation and him realising that the words he uses and even if he doesn't use them in offence are offensive and maybe bring him out of it," reports OK! .
To this, Billie asserted: "Let's hope so." Sian then chimed in with: "There is probablyh a level of respect there, if she said it in the right way to him then maybe he would take it onboard and we might see that side of him." This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV and ITVX.
