Police said the man could assist with enquiries Merseyside Police have released a CCTV image of a man who could assist with their enquiries into a sexual offence. Officers said they received a report of an incident that occurred in a hotel in Southport on Sunday, December 15. Extensive CCTV and witness enquiries have been conducted, police said and detectives have issued CCTV images of a man they believe could assist in their investigation.

Detective Sergeant Rebecca Robinson said: “We take reports of sexual offences very seriously and we are very keen to speak with the person featured in the image to help with our enquiries. "This was a traumatic experience for the victim and we are working hard to ensure that the person responsible is identified. We hope this male can come forward to assist with our enquiries or that others may recognise him and provide this information to the police.



He has a distinctive tattoo on his neck. "We believe he could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries. We also encourage people to come forward if you know anything about the incident which will help with our investigation.
