Fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment after it emerged that CBS is axing FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International, two spin-offs of FBI

CBS is canceling two beloved crime shows in a matter of weeks, leaving fans heartbroken, with some saying they have "lost their minds." The network is axing FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International, which are spin-offs of FBI , once their current seasons come to an end. FBI: Most Wanted will no longer be renewed after running for six seasons while FBI: International will end after four seasons.

It comes after FBI, which kicked off in 2018, was renewed for three-seasons last April, meaning it will be on air until 2027. It has been claimed that a factor in the cancellations were the difficult renewal negotiations CBS has had with the NBCUniversal studio over the past couple of years. Last year, in a bid to cut costs, FBI and FBI: Most Wanted, reduced the main casts' minimum guarantees.

International was not severely impacted due to it having a smaller regular cast, with half of them being international actors. FBI: Most Wanted, which is in its sixth season, debuted in January 2020 and was originally led by Julian McMahon, Kellan Lutz, Keisha Castle-Hughes and Nathanial Arcand. After season three, its lead was Dylan McDermott The series has won its timeslot in every episode this season.

FBI: International, which is in its fourth season, launched in September 2021, and its current cast members include Jesse Lee Soffe, Heida Reed, Carter Redwood, Vinessa Vidotto and Christiane Paul. International often wins its timeslot as well and comes in second when not first. A person tweeted, "So FBI International and FBI Most Wanted are getting canceled?! Another wrote, "I just heard that 2 of my shows have been cancelled.

Why is FBI International & Most Wanted being cancelled? Both are good shows w/lots of possibilities. No reason was given in the articles I read." A third said, "so let me get this straight I'm somehow suppose to move on to next fall/spring with the uncertainty of the hunting party, canceled swat, fbi international, and fbi most wanted.

" Someone else expressed, "I hope they decide to put FBI International and Most Wanted on Paramount + or something. These shows are too good to be canceled." Meanwhile, the new FBI spin-off, FBI: CIA, which was announced in January remains in development.

The synopsis of the show, which is written and produced by Dick Wolf, reads, "A dedicated, strait-laced FBI agent and a street-smart CIA agent are part of a new, clandestine taskforce charged with solving and preventing domestic terrorism in and around New York City." Viewers also shared their thoughts on Reddit, with one saying, "Totally shocking that they canceled BOTH of them." Another wrote, "They're cancelling international? Are you kidding me? It's so good.

It's best FBI show." Another disappointed fan said, "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was hoping that none of them would be canceled, and that they would find a way to accommodate FBI: CIA on the schedule. Even if that means moving FBI: CIA to a different day.

"All that being said, it was bad enough that there was already a possibility that either one of them would get canceled. Of course, even though I didn’t want any of them to be canceled because I love ALL of the FBI shows, I thought that if one of them was going to be canceled, it might be Most Wanted as the most likely candidate. Especially when in International, we just got the new Fly Team leader Wes Mitchell played by Jesse Lee Soffer (who also played Jay Halstead in Chicago P.

D.). But BOTH Of Them?!?!?!?! Seriously?!?!?!?! THIS IS NOT FAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Click here to follow the Mirror US on Google News to stay up to date with all the latest news, sports and entertainment stories.
