Leicester singer-songwriter Causier has today shared his heart-rending new single, ‘waste your time’. The track follows recent single ‘ Lightning ’ , and will be featured on a brand new EP, ‘It’s Deeper Than I Thought’ out January 31st 2025 via Good As Gold Records. Of the track, Causier says it’s “about leaving somebody that you still love.
You realise that there’s things you need to do in your life that come before romance. I wrote the song after a difficult break up where in the end I wasn’t doing our relationship any justice despite still caring deeply about my ex.” ‘It’s Deeper Than I Thought’ charts Causier’s metamorphosis.
The singer-songwriter sought to rebuild himself after a prolonged period of disillusionment with his identity. He hopes that listeners find catharsis, motivation and guidance in the songs, take the time to reflect on their own aspirations, rediscover their voices and reconcile their lives with their dreams, just as he did during the EP’s creation. “I’m trying to elaborate on the part between cause and effect ,” he shares.
