A staffer who has reportedly worked with Democratic Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown’s campaign appeared to call for open borders and accused voters of “pure racism,” according to a video posted by Ohio.news.

“Open the f**king border, I don’t give a sh*t who the fuck comes in here,” Kevin Oyakawa, a staffer reportedly working alongside Brown and Democratic Ohio Rep. Emilia Sykes’ campaigns, said, according to Ohio.news.

Oyakawa, a Regional Organizing Director for the Ohio Democratic Party, according to Ohio.news, called immigration a “losing issue” for Ohio Democrats “for like no f**king reason other than people’s pure racism.” The staffer could be heard saying the U.

S. doesn’t “need Border Patrol” in the video. He then appeared to criticize Sykes, noting her silence on immigration.

“If she has to address immigration, she starts losing,” he said in the video which the outlet posted to YouTube on Thursday. Ohio.news appeared to confirm Oyakawa’s identity as a Democratic staffer through one of his Facebook posts, though the post now appears to be private or deleted.

“I’m excited to announce that I have accepted a position with the Ohio Coordinated Campaign to re-elect Senator Sherrod Brown, Congresswoman Emilia Sykes, and other down ballot Democratic candidates,” Oyakawa appeared to write in an alleged screenshot of an April 15 Facebook post.
