Casio has introduced two new G-Shock models in the UK: the GW-5000HS-7ER in white and the GW-5000HS-1ER in black. These models merge the brand's renowned durability with environmentally friendly enhancements. Priced at £279 (approximately $353), they maintain the classic square design of the original from 1983 while incorporating modern sustainable practices, such as components made from bio-based resin.
The bezels and bands of both models utilize bio-based resin, partially sourced from renewable materials, thereby minimizing environmental impact while preserving their robustness. The watches are equipped with a DLC-coated stainless-steel case for enhanced scratch resistance, offer 200m water resistance, and feature Casio’s proprietary shock-resistant technology. Both models are manufactured at Yamagata Casio, the facility responsible for producing the first G-Shock in 1983.
Although they are priced higher than most resin-based G-Shocks, the GW-5000HS series appeals to enthusiasts who appreciate a combination of heritage and sustainability. These watches are currently available on G-Shock’s UK website. Furthermore, it seems that Casio is developing a couple of new full-metal G-Shock watches that may be released soon.

The GM-110D-8A showcases a silver dial, while the GM-110BD-1A9 presents a striking combination of gold and black. Both models are designed with forged stainless-steel bezels and bracelets, and the leaked images highlight the analog-digital hybrid display characteristic of the GM-110 series.
