Cashfree appoints Piyush Anchliya from Bandhan AMC as new CFO

Bengaluru-based online payment processor Cashfree Payments has appointed Piyush Anchliya as its new chief financial officer (CFO). Anchliya will be responsible for leading financial strategy at the payments firm, optimising operations and supporting the company’s next phase of growth.Anchliya will replace Vikas Guru, who led the finance function at Cashfree for almost four years.

Anchliya will report to Cashfree cofounder Akash Sinha, the company said in a release.“As we enter the next phase of growth, Piyush’s valuable experience across the financial services industry will be key to scaling sustainably and strengthening our financial foundation,” said Sinha.Anchliya joins Cashfree after serving as the CFO at Bandhan Asset Management Company (previously IDFC AMC).



He has over 15 years of experience in the financial services world, having worked at Barclays Investment Bank in New York and Lehman Brothers in London.Cashfree Payments bagged RBI licence to operate as a payment aggregator (PA)-Online, PA-cross border and issue mobile wallets or prepaid payment instruments. The company recently raised $53 million in a funding round led by Krafton and Apis.

Currently, Cashfree processes $80 billion annually for over 800,000 businesses..
