Cash stolen from gurdwara donation box

Ludhiana: An unidentified thief struck at a gurdwara in Samrala, stealing cash from the donation box. The police have registered a case based on a complaint lodged by the gurdwara’s management committee. The complainant, Kulwant Singh of Neelon Khurd village, said that on November 15, around 6:30 pm, he locked the main door of the gurdwara and went home.

The next morning, at 4 am, upon returning, he found the lock on the Darbar Sahib door broken. He checked the CCTV footage and saw that an unknown person had broken the lock and stolen Rs 20,000-25,000 from the donation box. Police said that a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
