Carroll's Willa Albrecht, Western's Maddy Moy earn Frontier women's hoops weekly honors

Billings West and Kalispell Flathead graduates honored.

HELENA — Carroll College's Willa Albrecht and Montana Western's Maddy Moy were singled out for weekly Frontier Conference women's basketball honors the league announced in a press release on Monday. Albrecht, a redshirt junior guard who graduated from Billings West, was selected as the Offensive Player of the Week. She was outstanding in Carroll’s lone game of the week, as the Saints cruised past Alberta-Augustana 94-47.

Albrecht led all scorers with 21 points on her 63% field goal shooting. Albrecht hit all six free throw attempts. She also pulled down two offensive rebounds and registered an assist in the game.



This is Albrecht’s second career Frontier Conference Player of the Week award, as she was also honored on the defensive side of the court in Week 5. Moy, a sophomore guard from Kalispell Flathead, was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week. She led the Bulldogs with an impressive six steals and seven defensive rebounds, helping her team to a 87-34 home victory over Keyano College.

She also registered a block in the game. This is Moy’s second Frontier Conference Player of the Week award as she was also honored for her defensive play in Week 7..
