The rock band joined the country singer for a set of songs at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on April 5, during a show part of Underwood's Reflection residency . Underwood, 42, and Papa Roach — which is composed of members Jacoby Shaddix, Jerry Horton, Tobin Esperance and Tony Palermo — first performed their collaboration “Leave a Light on (Talk Away the Dark)." They then sang Papa Roach’s smash hit “Last Resort,” with Underwood joining the band and frontman Shaddix, 48, to mark the song’s 25th anniversary.

A new rendition of the song, featuring Underwood, was released in 2024, and the artists pledged a perpetual royalty from the song’s use, in any manner, to support those affected by suicide. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is one organization that will benefit, and the stars also teamed up with the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the United States and Canada to raise public awareness of their work through the track.
Underwood is currently gearing up to finish her Vegas residency, with a final show scheduled for April 12, before she has a few shows planned across the U.S. for the remainder of the year.
