ROCK HILL — The 2026 Carolinas Classic All-Star Basketball Games will be played in York County, the first location to host the games in 1998, for the first time in nearly two decades. Visit York County, in partnership with the Rock Hill and Fort Mill school districts, will host the Carolinas Classic All-Star Basketball Games from March 19-21, 2026, at Catawba Ridge High School, with practices held across the county at local high schools. With the help of the Rock Hill Sports Commission created by the City of Rock Hill Parks, Recreation & Tourism, The Carolinas Classic All-Star Basketball Games were first hosted in Rock Hill in 1998, though they were last played in York County in 2007.
The games have been hosted in Wilmington, N.C., for the past six years.
The Carolinas Classic All-Star games feature the best high school athletes, invited due to their success on the basketball court for local teams in South Carolina and North Carolina. A boys and girls team from each state is selected by their respective state coaching associations. While in York County, players will celebrate their accomplishments and participate in activities that benefit the community, visiting local elementary schools to inspire future generations of athletes and attending group outings to local attractions for team building before the games.
