Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmotherPelhamCarol A. (Cambria) Slavin, 78, a resident of Pelham, NH, died October 12 at Lowell General Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of John J.
Slavin who survives her.Born in Lowell, MA on November 3, 1945, she was a daughter of the late John E. and Mary (George) Cambria.
She received her elementary education at the Academy of Notre Dame and was a graduate of Lowell High School.Carol worked as an administrative assistant at their family construction business, Chris-Sco Corporation, which is owned by her husband. Earlier in her career Carol worked as a jeweler at Filene’s Basement and at Barmakian Jewelers.
Most recently, she was a Reiki Master and practitioner.In addition to her husband John, she is survived by two sons, Scott M. Slavin and his wife Stacy Grillo of Sarasota, FL and Christopher J.
Slavin and his partner Catherine McDevitt of Nashua, NH; six grandchildren, Kayla Slavin of North Andover, Alyssa Slavin of Wilmington, Emma and Avery Slavin of Nashua, Cayden Grillo Slavin of Sarasota FL and Jay Kenderski of Manchester, NH; two great grandchildren, Keilani and Hatcher Kenderski of Manchester, NH; a sister-in-law, Kay McCarthy of Pelham and many nieces, nephews and cousins.Carol was also the mother of the late John J. Slavin Jr.
and sister of the late Charles J. Cambria, Rosemary Blouin, sisters-in-law, Ann Blais & Mary Callary and brothers-in-law, Robert Callary Gerry McCarthy, and John, Father and Mother in-law, Frederick and Mary Slavin.Family always came first for Carol.
She had a special connection with each one of her grandchildren. Her infectious laugh would immediately put a smile on your face. Being an avid car buff, she enjoyed going to car shows and cruising in her husband’s classic cars.
One of her favorite things to do was to go for ice cream with her husband at their favorite spot, Peach Tree Farm. For many years, Carol and John organized an ice cream social for our NH Veterans. Something she was very proud of.
Relatives and friends may call at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. Pelham, NH on Sunday, October 20th from 1:00 until 4:00pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 21, 2024 at St Patrick’s Church, Pelham, NH at 11:00 am.
