Freehold Township got it done through the air as Nick Cardone tossed four touchdowns to defeat Toms River South 35-14 in Toms River. Freehold Township took control early and led 21-6 at halftime before pushing it to a 28-6 game with 7:37 to go thanks to a 13-yard touchdown from Justin Tamai. Cardone made it 35-6 with a 30-yard touchdown pass to Nicholas Schicci.
8/30 - 6:00 PM Football Final Freehold Township 35 Toms River South 14 Noah Marchica got the scoring going with a five-yard touchdown catch from Cardone with 3:41 left in the first quarter before Cardone hit Noah Cancela for a 13-yarder to make it 14-0. Cardone also connected with Luke Meehan for a 28-yard touchdown to send his team into halftime up by 15. Jake Henehan accounted for both of Toms River South’s touchdowns with a 77-yard run in the second quarter and a 71-yarder in the fourth.
