A cardiologist has claimed that kiwis are the healthiest fruit someone can eat and that they are healthier even than avocados or apples. Aurelio Rojas has said that the small green fruit is one of the best to consume in your diet to help with sleep and ensuring the highest level of nutrients enter the body. He claimed: “It contains up to eight times more nutrients than an apple.

It is very rich in fibre, making digestion easier. “In addition, its low glycemic index can reduce your insulin spikes. And it is very rich in vitamins, such as E, K and C.

Both vitamin E and vitamin C are powerful anti-inflammatory antioxidants that prevent the formation of cholesterol plaques in your arteries.” Aurelio has also posted the potential health benefits of kiwis on Instagram and how they could even improve the rate at which someone falls asleep, reports Telva . He wrote: “Did you know that eating one or two before bed can help you fall asleep 50 percent faster? Plus, it improves the quality and duration of your sleep! Kiwi is rich in antioxidants, serotonin and vitamin C, components that promote restful sleep.

” Aurelio isn’t the only expert to comment on the sleep improvement capabilities of kiwis with experts at BedKingdom.co.uk espousing the benefits of them earlier this year.

In a statement, they said: “Studies have shown that kiwi fruit can help improve sleep quality, sleep timings, and sleep efficiency after a month of regular kiwifruit consumption before sleep. “Kiwifruit contains high amounts of serotonin and antioxidants, as well as vitamins like folate, and B vitamin, which can help to treat sleep disorders as well as help reset your sleep schedule.” Avoid ultra-processed food with simple supermarket swaps that can 'change your life' Stop skin from creasing with simple make-up technique shared by artist Whilst kiwis may be beneficial for helping someone get to sleep, other food stuffs have helped some famous faces get back to sleep.

Comedian Stephen Fry, 67, says he uses a technique called “mayofulness” to help him when he gets woken up at 3am in the morning. He told the Dish podcast that making mayonnaise in the early hours of the morning helps calm his brain. He explained: “I wake up at three in the morning, can’t go back to sleep, I go down and I start to make mayonnaise.

"It’s a mixture of concentration and rhythmic relaxation that I think calms the brain down. Unusually, then I can go back and go to sleep in the happy knowledge there’ll be a jar of mayonnaise. I call it ‘mayofulness’.

” Whilst Stephen uses mayonnaise to get back to sleep, fellow national treasure and McFly member Danny Watts tapes his mouth shut according to his wife Georgia who talked about the matter when Danny was in the jungle on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! She told the Never Have I Ever podcast: “If I tell you this, this man has never fussed so much over the fact that he can't tape his mouth in the jungle. He tapes his mouth at night. It’s meant to have many, many health benefits.

.. It’s literally like a piece of gaffer tape.

It's like a massive plaster of your lips.”.
