Times News Network Ludhiana: An unidentified man allegedly stole a car key from a man who was sleeping near his wife, who is admitted in a hospital, and stole his car. The victim said that the car also contained Rs 50,000 cash, his office keys, and his son's school bag. Model Town Police registered a case against the unidentified accused under sections 303 (2) (punishment for theft) and 61 (2) (punishment for criminal conspiracy) of BNS on the complaint of Simrandeep Singh, a resident of City Enclave.
The complainant, Simrandeep Singh, said that his wife was admitted in a city hospital for delivery of their child. On Thursday, he went to the hospital and parked his Maruti Alto car, PB 10 EB 0490, in the parking lot. Simrandeep added that he secured the car key in his trouser loop and went to meet his wife.
He said that he dozed off and when he woke up after some time, he realised that his car key was missing. He rushed to the parking lot and found the car missing too. Thereafter, he informed the police.
