Vadodara: Vadodara car crash accused Rakshit Chaurasiya , who allegedly rammed multiple vehicles on March 13, killing a woman and injuring seven people, was brought to the state-run SSG Hospital on Wednesday for a minor surgical procedure. Doctors at the govt hospital said the law student underwent plastic surgery for an injury sustained after being assaulted after the crash. "The accused was brought to our hospital for jaw surgery, a procedure that lasted about 30 minutes.
He is in good health and will be discharged soon," said Dr Hitendra Chauhan, resident medical officer at SSG Hospital. Chaurasiya, a fourth-year law student, is lodged in Vadodara Central Jail. Earlier on Monday, he was also taken to the hospital for a medical check-up.
After an evaluation at the surgery department, doctors advised him to return for a follow-up on Wednesday, leading to his admission for the procedure..
