Captain America: Brave New World is getting closer to its release and more information about the film is being released with promotional material. The film's teasers and trailer first confirmed details about MCU's new Captain America and his hostile relationship with President Ross. Another trailer revealed the new upgraded suit for Sam Willson's Captain America and also finally hinted at the look of Willson's replacement aka the new Falcon.
As well as fans are excited to see Sam Wilson take on the role of Captain America, many are also excited to see what kind of role Joaquin Torres will get to play in the new Falcon. Not much about the character has been revealed by the makers and only a few glimpses of him have been part of the promotional material. While several shots of him as the character have been seen, only one fight sequence shows him soring through the skies amid a fight.
The clip also confirmed that Torres will be playing the new Falcon and has received an upgraded suit. Danny Ramirez's Joaquín Torres was first introduced to the MCU in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Back in 2021, he was hinted to be the perfect candidate for taking on the role of Falcon when working with Sam Wilson in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
According to reports, Marvel Studios has made many changes to Joaquín Torres's character in the MCU, but he is expected to be a formidable force to reckon with. twitter.com/xCAIfbfB6H — Film Updates (@FilmUpdates) November 9, 2024 In the MCU, Torres is a United States Air Force lieutenant and intelligence officer who helped rescue Captain Vassant from the LAF, gathered information on the Flag Smashers, and prepared Sam for his fight against Karli Morgenthau, all in the Marvel show The Falcon and the Winter Solider. On the other hand, in the comics Torres is just a regular teenager who is volunteering when he was abducted to be used as a subject in Dr.
Karl Malus' experiments. He is injected with genetic material from Sam Wilson's vampiric falcon Redwing (actual bird) which transforms Torres into a human/falcon hybrid. In the Marvel comics, he has huge natural wings, clawed hands, enlarged eyes, and a psychic link to Redwing.
This also helps him remain connected to Sam Wilson giving him the chance to become Captain America's sidekick. MCU could incorporate the same in the later parts of the storyline but there have been no hints about the same for the time. Torres in the MCU will be seen in his own winged suit, and its first look has been revealed by the studio through an action figure.
The pictures of the figure have gone viral on social media and it shows the character dressed in a movie-accurate uniform. The green and tan colour is similar to the one in the comics but the concept is more high-tech than natural. The wings are expected to be the same as Sam's since it was gifted to him by the former Falcon in the show.
Torres's figure is also set to be armed with a Redwing drone and the same will be expected for the film. SEE ALSO: Spiderman 4 Is Happening! Tom Holland's Big Filming Update And What To Expect From MCU Hasbro Marvel Legends CPT America: Brave New World - Marvel’s Falcon pic.twitter.

com/1kteIjjoj0 — MCU Film News (@MCUFilmNews) August 10, 2024 In the comics, the bird's DNA granted Torres extra abilities, along with a regenerative healing factor which made it possible for him to survive potentially fatal attacks. In the MCU he is expected to be a human with a flying suit similar to Mackie's Falcon. However, the character has proven his worth in the TV show as an expert marksman, his skills in hand-to-hand combat and more.
In the film, Brave New World, Torres appears to be going on several different missions with Sam Wilson after the attack on Harrison Ford's President Ross. He is most likely to be seen fighting off Red Hulk at some point as well. Torres is expected to have a great big screen debut with Captain America 4.
