CADBURY Ireland fans "cannot wait to try" a limited edition new flavour in the first launch in decades. The Mini Eggs flavour chocolate bar will land on shelves from February. The small bar is a mix of Mini Egg pieces and Dairy Milk Chocolate.

It is the first flavour innovation in the Irish-produced small bar range in over a decade. And the limited edition bar is the ninth to join the small bar family. The current flavours include the classic Dairy Milk, Caramello, Golden Crisp, Fruit & Nut, Mint Crisp, Tiffin, Turkish and Wholenut.

The chocolate bosses launched the 'Choose the Flavour You Favour' campaign last year to help fans rediscover the range of flavours available. And the Mini Egg bar will be available for fans to try in just days and add to their favourites list. Cadbury Ireland's Standard Confectionery Lead Seamus Harahan shared his excitement about the launch.

He said: “Bringing a new flavour to our much-loved Cadbury Dairy Milk small bars range for the first time in over a decade is truly exciting. "The combination of Cadbury Dairy Milk, Ireland’s #1 selling small chocolate bar, and Cadbury Mini Eggs adds a fun twist to the iconic Irish produced range – but it is a limited-edition, so you’ll need to be quick to get your hands on one.” He continued, “Our ‘Choose the Flavour You Favour’ campaign sparked nationwide excitement, debate and discussion last year, further strengthening our market-leading position, reflecting the passion Irish consumers have for our products.

"We are excited to see how people respond to the new limited-edition flavour – and if it can become the flavour they favour!” And fans are indeed excited for the new addition to the small bars range that has been produced in Dublin since 1933. Taking to social media, one person wrote: "Ahhhhhhhh, cannot wait to try." Another said: "Yummmmmmmm!" One person added: "Oh wow!!! Cannot wait to try!!!" However, some fans were disappointed by the announcement that the Mini Egg bar was back but just in a smaller size.

One said: "Was really hoping for a new flavour, not an existing bar just made smaller!" Another said: "Are these not the same as the large Mini Egg bars in the yellow packet? Just smaller." And another added: "Literally exactly the same. So boring.

"" "Literally, why bother even advertising it?" But for those who are excited about the limited edition bar, there is an exclusive chance to be the first to taste it. Fans can try the bar out at a pop up hosted alongside Irish podcasters I’m Grand Mam today. The hatch will be located at 4 Leinster Street South, Dublin 2, D02XT95 from 8am.
