Can Jordan Love stay aggressive while cleaning up turnovers?

It's been a common saying among the Packers fanbase this season that Love has more Brett Favre in him than Aaron Rodgers, and his eight interceptions would point to that.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has thrown 15 touchdowns for his 5-2 team, rising up the statistical leaderboards despite missing two games with a knee injury. He entered Monday's action tied with Baker Mayfield for the most touchdown passes thrown this year and will head into Week 8 sitting second in the NFL. The downside, and truly the only downside for Love so far in 2024, is that he has been playing fast and loose with the football.

It's been a common saying among the Packers fanbase this season that he's got more Brett Favre in him than Aaron Rodgers — perhaps his ode to Favre earlier this season was a sign — and his eight interceptions would point to that. Love threw two more interceptions against the Houston Texans this past weekend, and even though the Packers got a win thanks to his three touchdowns and the game-winning field goal he set up, those interceptions undoubtedly made things harder. It's truly an interesting dichotomy.

Love leads the league in touchdown throws, but also leads the league in interceptions thrown with eight. Granted, Patrick Mahomes has also thrown eight and he's a future Hall of Famer — so Love is in good company — but this is something Love and the Packers need to sort out if they want to be legitimate Super Bowl contenders this year. The good news is the Packers beat a great Texans team despite those two interceptions (not to mention an awful botched punt return that led to great field position for Texas and ultimately a touchdown).

The bad news? The NFC North is easily the toughest division in football this season and there's going to be very little room for error. Ultimately, Love is planning to continue to stay aggressive. "You just gotta play the game," Love said after the game, via the team website .

"You've gotta go out there and play it. You can't try and not be aggressive and take checkdowns all day. You've got to be out there and be aggressive and go win those games.

I'm always going to play the way I play, and learn from mistakes, and grow from them.".
