Camborne hotel evacuated after fire breaks out

Two people were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation

A fire broke out in a Cornwall hotel last night (December 11) leaving two people needing to be treated for smoke inhalation, according to fire rescue crews. were called to the building in at around 10.30pm, to reports of a small electrical fire.

The hotel's evacuation procedure was carried out, and crews worked to tackle the blaze. A spokesperson for the fire service said: "Critical Control received a call to a small electrical fire at a hotel. At the time of the call staff were able to confirm that the building evacuation procedure was being followed.



"Crews from Tolvaddon and an Officer were mobilised, and used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, TIC, and a CO2 extinguisher to put out the fire. South West Ambulance Service attended to treat two casualties for smoke inhalation." South West Ambulance Service has also been contacted for comment on the incident.
