Safija Topolovic, from Crumbs Cafe, opposite where Saturday's crash happened, said: "It's happened many times before, all the time. "I think we need a traffic light or a speed camera to prevent more happening. "But still, maybe that wouldn't help because drivers would just ignore them, I've ran out of things to say about the road.

"It makes me feel unsafe [with the amount of incidents occurring]. "My thoughts are with everybody involved." The cafe is opposite where the collision occured (Image: NQ) A customer in the cafe added that the CCTV looking down on the road reportedly doesn't have infrared imaging, so can't capture images clearly at night.

He said: "I was attacked last year and the police couldn't do anything because the CCTV couldn't capture stuff at night." Another man, who appeared to have had fingers damaged, and was leaning out the top window of a terraced house on Avenue Street, added: "It's not just crashes that are a problem around here.
