California is the place to be for outdoor gigs in 2025

FAIRFIELD — Research from Hellotickets, a travel platform for experiences, has ranked the Golden State the place for outdoor gigs this year. Four factors were employed to determine which states are a must-visit this year, including the number of upcoming outdoor concerts per 100,000 residents, the average ticket price for upcoming outdoor concerts, the average evening temperature in spring and summer, and the average evening rainfall in spring and summer. Each factor was scored on a scale of 10 before a final score out of 40 was awarded.

California takes first place with over 13,000 upcoming outdoor concerts Rhode Island has the cheapest average ticket prices, while Arizona has the most expensive. Hawaii takes last place as the worst state for outdoor concerts. California is the best state for outdoor concerts this year, with a final score of 29.



10. The state has the highest number of upcoming outdoor concerts at a massive 13,352. This is equal to 33.

86 per 100,000 residents, resulting in a score of 7.25. The biggest events include Coachella and the Stagecoach Country Music Festival both in April.

California also does well for rainfall, with an evening average of just 0.04 mm, leading to a high score of 8.79.

For average ticket prices and average evening temperatures, California scores 6.45 and 6.60, respectively.

Average ticket prices are around $61.35, and average evening temperatures are around 77.9 degrees.
