Caddo DA’s Purple Box Campaign helps domestic violence survivors

SHREVEPORT, La. - The Caddo Parish District Attorney’s office will give more than 3,500 items to Project Celebration, Inc. as a result of its "Purple Box Campaign.

" Throughout October, the DA’s office partnered with Shreve Memorial Library, several churches, and other organizations to collect items from toothpaste and hair brushes to bath towels and toiletries to help adult and child victims of domestic abuse. When most victims flee their abusive environments they usually leave with nothing. The "Purple Box Campaign" helps organizations such as Project Celebration and Providence House serve adults and children displaced by domestic abuse.



The District Attorney's office will hand off the donations to Project Celebration this Thursday..
