A businesswoman has won an award for her innovative approach to hospitality. Celia Gaze, from Edgworth, was named Hospitality Leader at TheBusinessDesk North West Leadership Awards on Thursday, March 27. She was nominated in this category for her work at The Wellbeing Farm in Edgworth, which hosts weddings and events involving llamas.

Ms Gaze was also a finalist in the Green Leader category. The awards celebrate the best in business leadership around the North West. Ms Gaze was not at the awards ceremony, which was held at The Midland Hotel in Manchester, as she was attending Anthropy – Business Reboot at the Eden Project in Cornwall.

She said: "I’m blown away to have won the Hospitality Leader award – what an incredible honour. "While I couldn’t be there in person, I was surrounded by fellow changemakers at Anthropy, reflecting on the future of leadership and conscious business, making this recognition even more meaningful. "This award is a testament to the amazing team at The Wellbeing Farm who bring our vision to life every single day.

"From championing sustainability to creating unforgettable celebrations (yes, with a few llamas thrown in), we’re proof that hospitality can be joyful, impactful, and purpose-led.".
