VanArnam Vineyards near Zillah announced a transition in ownership this past week, with founders Kent and Allison VanArnam selling their winery and vineyards to their winemaker, Branden Seymour, and his fiancée, Kaela Valcich. “This transition marks a new chapter for the winery, ensuring continuity and growth while maintaining the rich legacy of VanArnam Vineyards,” the founders announced in a news release. “Branden and Kaela, who have been an integral part of the VanArnam team for many years, will now assume full management responsibilities for the winery and vineyards.

Under this arrangement, Seymour is acquiring an equity interest which will grow to full ownership.” Kent and Allison VanArnam, who established the business in 2007, said they will continue to be involved in many operations at the vineyard, winery and tasting room. They noted that Seymour has crafted numerous award-winning wines over the past seven years, “We are thrilled to pass the baton to Branden,” they said in the news release.

“His dedication, talent and passion for winemaking have been evident in every bottle produced.” Seymour said he looks forward to working with the VanArnams and continuing the traditions they have established, as well as creating his own legacy at the Yakima Valley winery. VanArnam Vineyards is at 1305 Gilbert Road near Zillah.
