Here are this week’s local business and nonprofit awards, acquisitions, celebrations and certifications: ACQUISITIONS Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers , headquartered in High Ridge, Missouri, acquired Automotive Super Center headquartered in Longview, Texas. Dobbs has more than 700 employees in 50 stores in Missouri, Illinois and now Texas. AWARDS The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity named Armstrong Teasdale a Top Performer and Compass Award winner for the fourth consecutive year.

The awards recognize member law firms and corporations that show a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. The National Association of Landscape Professionals recognized Frisella Landscape Group with a 2024 Bronze Award of Excellence in the Residential Design/Build category for the company’s Poolside Oasis project in Frontenac, Missouri. EXPANDING The Miriam Switching Post resale boutique at 292 Hanley Industrial Court, Brentwood, Missouri, expanded store hours to 11 a.

HELPING OUT Plaza Cares, the philanthropic division of Plaza Motors in St. Louis, Missouri, assembled and donated 100 care bags of essential supplies for the unhoused population in St. Louis.

Affinia Healthcare managed the bag distribution. Better Family Life received $50,000 toward career development programs through Spectrum Community Center Assist . Since 2021, Spectrum has invested more than $200,000 in employment training and resources for the company’s St.
