Seven Huskers competed in the Senior World Team Trials in Omaha over the weekend, with two earning spots on the World Team. Jordan Burroughs (79 kg) and James Green (70 kg) won out at the tournament, claiming team spots to represent the U.S.

at the World Championships in Tirana, Albania from Oct. 28-31. Burroughs made his 10th World Team, sealing the deal with a sweep of his best-of-three finals matchup against Chance Marsteller.



The No. 2 seed heading into the trials, Burroughs had a bye in the first round and shutout Sam Beckett in the Round of 16. The two-time Olympian defeated Levi Haines in the quarterfinals and Alex Dieringer 7-4 in the semifinals.

James Green (70 kg) also made a return to the World Team, his seventh appearance, with his 5-0 run at the trials. Seeded No. 2 before the tournament, Green had a first round bye and followed it with two dominant shutouts in the Round of 16 and quarterfinals.

. Peyton Robb (72 kg) placed third in greco-roman at the trials, his first tournament as a Husker alum. The four-time NCAA All-American had four shutout victories, starting with Justin Feldman in the Round of 16 and Gunnar Hamre in the quarterfinals.

Liam Cronin (61 kg) earned fourth, while Dayne Morton (70 kg), Kyle Burwick (61 kg) and Eric Schultz (92 kg) did not place at trials. FOOTBALL: Concordia running back Mark Arp was named GPAC offense player of the week. Arp, a senior from McCook, produced a career-high 210 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries in Concordia's 42-7 road win over Dakota Wesleyan.
